How to Fish Roulette, Slots and Casino Bugs
What Patch 1.0.10 fixed, what it did not, and how to handle a broken spin.
The casino on Island 4 has two machines: the roulette table and the Reel of Fortune slot. Both are optional, and both have documented bugs. This page covers what is officially fixed, what is still reported, and what evidence to gather before filing a support request.
What Patch 1.0.10 changed
The official announcement lists three roulette fixes in Patch 1.0.10:
- High-value counter no longer ticks forever. A spin producing a very large multiplier no longer leaves the counter spinning indefinitely.
- Leaving mid-roulette no longer breaks the next session. If you quit during a spin, the next time you load the game the table behaves normally.
- Ball clipping the wheel — attempted fix. The developer described this as an attempted fix rather than a confirmed fix.
Patch 1.0.11 moved the Island 6 roulette table slightly because its former position made betting awkward. This is a positioning change only.
What Patch 1.0.10 did not fix
Two roulette failure modes were reported by players and are not listed in the official patch notes:
Negative money after an x35 result. A player reported a balance going negative after an x35 spin involving approximately 77 million. Purchases were blocked. The report does not establish a safe maximum bet, a confirmed payout formula, or a working recovery procedure. No patch note promises a fix for this outcome.
Green result producing a whale that cannot be sold. A player described a green result that produced a whale creature reward. The merchant would not accept the whale. This is a reward-delivery failure separate from a payout failure. The case does not prove that every green result fails to deliver.
How to handle a broken roulette result
- Stop betting and buying. Do not make any more transactions.
- Screenshot the wheel, reward and wallet. Capture the first incorrect state before another action is taken.
- Record the session details. Note solo or co-op, host or guest, island, and installed version. Patch 1.0.10 writes the version to
player.log. - Back up the LocalLow folder. Copy the entire How to Fish save folder to a dated location. Do not replace an earlier healthy backup with the newly affected state.
- Preserve the campaign. No confirmed recovery was established in the checked threads. Starting a new save does not restore the existing campaign.
Reel of Fortune slot machine
The Reel of Fortune is a separate machine from roulette. It dispenses cosmetic weapon skins, not cash. Patch 1.0.5 fixed visibility of 4K skins while rolling. Patch 1.0.10 changed roulette; it did not change the Reel of Fortune odds.
Spider Crab Reel duplicates are reported: if you receive what looks like the same skin twice, record the exact reward names and rarities and check the Reel of Fortune guide for the documented table.
Before you spin
- Check the installed version. Patch 1.0.10 is needed for the confirmed fixes.
- Set aside money you can afford to lose. The casino is gambling content in a physics comedy game.
- Keep a separate healthy save. Do not overwrite it with a session where roulette produced a negative balance.
